Be Goal Oriented

Being goal oriented is very useful and can be the difference between getting a job and not receiving a promotion or a raise for many years. Being able to both meet and set goals can be good for you personally as well.

Constantly setting new goals will prevent you from getting too used to a set way of doing things and never improving. It can also help you get a promotion or make you eligible for a better position when one opens up. Being a goal-setter (as well as someone who achieves these goals) can be your biggest defining characteristic as an employee and a person. It will almost certainly help you be successful at work.

Be Confident

You can almost never go wrong with confidence. Confidence helps you achieve what you set out to do as well as move forward knowing that you're capable of being successful. Confidence is extremely important for interviews. Appearing confident will help an interviewer make the decision to hire you versus someone else.
